Friday Night: the usual culprits

The other devices can't find my session

Every device needs to be on the same Wi-Fi network with Bluetooth turned on, and each one has to allow the Local Network permission the first time it looks for a session. If someone tapped "Don't Allow," it can be turned back on in Settings › Friday Night › Local Network. A device that can't connect can still run as a table display on its own.

Does everyone at the table have to buy it?

No. Joining a session is free, and so is setting up a table display for up to four seats. Only the person running the night needs the unlock. Someone with no device at all can still be added to the table display, and it keeps their life for them.

I paid on one device — do I pay again on my iPad?

No. The unlock is tied to your Apple ID and carries to every device signed in to the same account. If it doesn't show up, tap Restore Purchase on the unlock screen. It's Family Sharing enabled too.

A player's phone died mid-game

Their seat stays at the table. When they're back on any device, they join the session and take their old seat — board and totals exactly as they stood. In the meantime the table display can keep their life for them.

My numbers disappeared

Boards and game history live on the device that made them. Deleting the app deletes them — updates don't. If something vanished without a delete, email us with your iOS version and what happened; we'd genuinely like to know.
